Biography

My name is Ahsan Ali Rehmani. Ahsan Ali is my given name, while Rehmani is my family's laqab (honorific or family title). It is not a caste or tribal surname, but a hereditary title that has been carried by members of my paternal family for generations. Together with each person's given name, it forms their complete name.

The title Rehmani represents our family's Spiritual Affiliation (Rohani Nisbat), reflecting our spiritual heritage and identity. Because of this, some people mistakenly assume that Rehmani is my caste. In reality, it is simply our family's laqab. Our ancestral tribe is Janjua Rajput.

Our family's ancestral roots trace back to Fateh Jang and Haripur (Hazara). My grandfather later migrated to Karachi, where much of our family lived for many years. In 2010, most members of my extended family relocated to the United States of America.

Although I spent my childhood in Rahim Yar Khan, a city in South Punjab, Pakistan. My ancestral language is Pothohari Punjabi, reflecting my family's heritage. However, having grown up in South Punjab, I do not speak the Pothohari dialect. Instead, I can speak Punjabi, and Urdu has been the primary language.

After completing my graduation, I moved to Lahore, where I established my professional career as a software engineer.

Today, I continue to value both my family's rich heritage and my professional journey, striving to preserve the traditions of my ancestors while embracing innovation and lifelong learning.
